What's the difference between communism and communalism?

    Communism is referred to as both a theoretical economic system or ideology in which there is collective ownership of property, and in which government plans and controls the means of production within a country wherein Communalism is a theory or system of government according to which each commune is virtually an independent state and the nation is merely a federation of such states.
