Why were the majority of Mexicans unhappy with Porfirio Díaz's leadership of Mexico?

Because Diaz was basically a dictator in Mexico that divided Mexico between the rich and the poor. There was no such thing as a middle class during that time of Diaz's rule in Mexico. The amount of rich people in Mexico was very minimal whereas the majority of the population of Mexico were poor.
