Why was Mesopotamia an ideal place for civilization to develop

    Mesopotamia had a lot of fertile land that resulted from flooding of the two main rivers (Tigris and Euphrates). This allowed civilians to irrigate and grow their crops, which created surplus of food and a labor union amongst the civilization.
