What was the significance of the Jeffersonian "Revolution of 1800" in relation to the new republican experiment and fierce political battles of the 1790s?

    The "Revolution of 1800" discusses about the election. The significance of the Jeffersonian "Revolution of 1800" was it not once before had one political party walked down from Presidency and another take power without the use of power. This presented that our form of Republic was in fact proficient of working. Adams could have declined to step down but he freely stepped down, letting a leader with different opinions to step into office. This had never occurred before and showed that our type of government worked.
