Why did Europeans greet President Wilson enthusiastically when he visited Paris in 1918? Europeans were enthusiastic about the League of Nations. Europeans liked that he was visiting while in office. Europeans felt he was similar to their own leaders. Europeans supported Wilson's views on retribution.
