The Three-Fifths Compromise determined that:

A. large states should be allowed only three-fifths the number of congressional representatives of small states.

B. southern states would be entitled to only three-fifths of their representation in Congress until they dealt with the problem of slavery.

C. slaves were entitled to obtain their freedom by paying three-fifths of the amount of money their owners could earn by selling them.

D. each slave would count as three-fifths of a person in state population counts to determine congressional representation.
