Oliver Hudson Kelley organized the National Grange Movement. The

Grangers were inspired by the Mason organization providing a bonding and community space for farmers to socialize and learn from one another. Eventually the organizations became a space to voice grievances and address issues farmers were facing. This movement worked as an organization of farmers essentially working like a union. This organization brought together farming communities in an effort to create a system of collaboration and one voice for the farmer. As a political group they will eventually join with other farming organizations and create the Populist Party.
