Medici defined life in Rome in his poetry as valued the "melancholy in fragility and instability of the human condition" in which love, feasts, and light are mostly the foremost features of his verses. Also, Cosimo di Giovanni de' Medici was part of the House of Medici which was the noticeable leaders in the city of Florence during the Renaissance period. De Medici also said that Rome as a growing religious and political power in Italy during the Era of Enlightenment.
