Why was the economic depression that began in the second half of the 1920s called the Great Depression?

    Because people were living on the streets the homeless rate in the U. S. Is about 8% right now then it was almost 30% I believe. The stock became so bad in factories that no one had any money. It was a worst depression and will be know as the great deprey
