Why did Allied forces invade Italy after it had already surrendered?

1. German forces were still fighting in the country

2. Italy refused to meet all of the Allied demands

3. There was strong anti-Allied resistance among Italian partisans

4. The Allies felt that Italy needed to be punished

    The answer is number 2. Because if your fighting in a war, and you surrender, they wont care. They will just kill you.
