Why did america's industrial revolution affect the northern economy and society differently than it did the southern economy and society?

    The north had barley any farms and was filled with factories and was urbanized by the industrial revolution so they could produce a lot more, the south was filled with plantations and if not barley any factories, none the south relied on slavery while the north could mass produce.
