How did Kublai Khan encourage trade?

By inviting foreign merchants to China, and the Mongol peace.

He did not encourage trade because it was against his religious beliefs.

He was a paranoid ruler and did not like any outside influence including trade with other countries.

By giving landowners free crops to sell to other merchants.
