Why was britain able to expand its empire during the industrial revolution?

    It had a strong and stable government that led a strong fleet of ships and a developed army. This enabled it to colonize everyone easily since they often had guns and canons and things like that against people who barely had uniforms or still fought with bows and arrows and swords.
