The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was a Treaty of Peace signed by the Mexican Republic and the United States of America in July 4, 1848. It was a treaty that Mexicans agreed to signed because of the fall of their army in the Mexican capital. The treaty recognizes the fact that there is now a boundary between the United States and Mexico.
