What was one effect of settlers bringing herds of sheep and cattle to the West in the mid-1800s? Native grasses were destroyed. American Indians benefited. Water supplies were polluted. Diseases were spread.

    It was easier for the indians to loot their animals, and the grasses were pretty beaten up, but disease spreading was not one of the main impacts. Cholera had been spreading throughout cities during this time with significant impact
