Explain why Henry the Navigator played an important role in the Age of Discovery.

    He established a small court in which he brought sailors, mapmakers, astronomers, and others who were interested in navigation. From this court, he sent expeditions west to islands in the Atlantic and south explore the western coast of Africa.
