7. What were the ideals of the Renaissance and how did the Italian artists and writers reflect these ideals?

The primary ideas of the Renaissance were putting a focus back on the individual--especially the human body. So many renaissance artists and writers reflected this shift in thinking by focussing on the body itself as a subject, through sculpture and visual art.
