What is the most important reason that Christianity is so geographically widespread

    It is widespread because when explorers were conquering land they decide to spread their religion to better control that conquered land. They wanted to assimilate others to their ideas/beliefs. When the people were forced to a new religion it changed to being controlled and less likely to rebel.
