Because, during the Vietnam war, america found out that arms and weapons were being snuck in from Laos and Cambodia, and secret north Vietnamese bases in the jungles of Cambodia. So, the president (nixon) decided to just bomb all from those countries, killing so many innocent people. And the people in those counties are still cleaning up the bombs till this day. It is equivalent to bombing 24 hours a day for 8 years, that's how many bombs were dropped in the region! it was a secret bombing of Cambodia, Nixon knew if word got out, people would either oppose it, protest it, or be outraged. He and secretary of state Henry Kissinger, are to this day, considered warmongers. He did not consult Congress (which is really against democracy, and I think illegal), or even american military officials. It was called "operation menu."
