As a member of the losing side of World War I, what was Germany ordered to do about damage it had caused?

    Under article 231 Germany was given the entire blame for the cause of WW1, so had to pay £6,600 million (6.6 billion) in reparations, which is a word used for war compensation.

    Basically, pay for all damages, even if not directly caused by them.
