    The boxer rebellion although could not succeeded but still it was able to instill the sense of nationalism among the people. This rebellion mainly targeted those people that were trying to spread the European culture within the country and the Manchu dynasty. This group was mainly started by the peasants in Northern China in the year 1898. This secret society practiced martial arts and boxing and were of the opinion that they could stop bullets with their skills. The people of this group were driven by nationalism alone.
