Louis XIV created a movement towards absolutionism through many instances which brought order to chaotic areas of France in the sociopolitical system. He created a formal patronage system via the arts which is evidenced as creating a symbiotic relationship between himself and Moliere. This artistic patronage granted long term stability to Moliere's finances as well as his reputation. This also meant that the French Academie paid artists to make works that venerated Louis XIV.
