How did Stalin use censorship and propaganda to support his rule

Stalin made it so the Russian people would believe that the Soviet Union was the best country, and that there was nothing wrong with the government. He used propaganda to shape the youth, putting emphasis on having the school and government raise and influence children more so than the parents. The national newspaper also would report that production levels were higher than they actually were to produce moral of the Russian people to continue working although in reality they weren't producing much, and their living conditions were tough. He censored and tried to erase anything that was against communism or him, such as that famous example of him editing a photograph to make people believe a Soviet officer never existed. "The Great Purge" is what historians call Stalin and those beneath him ordering the deaths of officers and citizens due to suspicion of them speaking against the government. In total, Stalin tried to make the people see the Soviet Union as a great society and pushed communist ideals on citizens. Hope I provided enough examples!
