    It was actually Magna Carta - Magna Carta Written in 1215 by King John of England to limit the powers of the Monarchy

    This was the Magna Carta. Magna Carta is known as the first document ever to restrict the monarch's power (by not letting him imprison people without due process for example) and it was signed by King John of England in 1215
