How did the events of the late 1800's and early 1900's lead up to the outbreak of WWI?

    I think that the WW1 started because of Arduke Franz Ferdinand since a seberian man shot him in the throat and his wife Sophie in the stomach on their wedding anniversary in Sarajevo, and then Austro-Hungary started was on Serbia and then many other countries joined in.
