Christian ministers have a religious society. The petition is known as the 1688 Germantown Quaker Petition Against Slavery. It is done to stop the rampant African - American slavery. This document was recognized as the first American Republic Document. However, there was no action taken on this petition although it was regularly followed up in meetings.
