A settler is a person who has migrated to an area different to his/her own and for with whatever reason has decided to establish residence there permanently. In most cases, a settler lives in another area to colonize it. Normally, settlers face numerous social problems like discrimination, and cultural diversity. Since, they are new to the area, the people that primarily lives there can be apprehensive to a new individual/s that's why they become uncomfortable, tensed and sometimes unaccept the existence of a new foreigner. They may become territorial and might see the settlers as an enemy and a competition to the resources in the said area that's why they can cause conflict to the settlers by treating the settlers unfairly so that they might think of moving to another area. In addition to that, settlers and the permanent residents of the said area may face culture shock especially those who are not open minded to change. They may have conflicts with traditions, perspectives and beliefs. Also, settlers face economic hardships such as a change of monetary value and also with the change of area, you can experience the difficulty of getting a stable work for you to satisfy your needs since as new to the society, you are still not yet fully accepted that's why you need to earn their trust and gain more companions and allies.
