Why is criminal procedure important to someone accused of a crime? It guarantees that a criminal suspect will not be accused of a crime he or she did not commit. It guarantees that suspects accused of crime do not have to stay in jail before a trial. It promises suspect that police will only contact them when they have enough evidence to take a case to trial. It ensures that the law is applied without bias and that suspects accused of crimes are treated fairly.

    I want to say it is "It ensures that the law is applied without bias and the suspects accused of crimes are treated fairly since criminal procedure is the state laws pertaining to the manner in which a criminal is treated and the procedure in which they are prosecuted, convicted and sentenced.
