How did the amnesty act to change life for african americans?

It changed the voting fight in the 1872 for African Americans because before the amnesty act was put into place the African Americans had barely any rights except not being property to the Southern Americans but the Black Codes put into place in Southern states was slavery used with a different word and, African Americans still weren't allowed to vote even if they were educated so, when the amnesty act stated that African Americans can vote it changed everything for the African Americans lives they got better pay checks, they got to buy more land and, they got to have freedom.
