Established judicial review: the content of the court case itself is fairly irrelevant but the statement within the decision for judicial review was what made it important.

Judicial review is the ability of the Supreme Court to review laws for constitutionality. The Marshall Court establishes the role of the Supreme Court in the new government and finally gives the Court a place in the 3 branches.
