    B. Farmers in the dust bowl.

    A great deal of people moved from territories affected by the Dust Bowl to California. Additionally, bankers, fruit growers, and writers would've had no real reason to answer such an ad because they all already had successful jobs. Farmers would've been looking for opportunities to do something they were familiar with and escape the Dust Bowl.
