Why were some isolationists skeptical of Roosevelt's foreign policy during his campaign for president

    They believed that he would not keep the US as an isolationist country, but would participate in the War and later in economic policies in Europe and organizations. They wanted to keep the US to itself, without meddling with European affairs.
