What problems did cities face as a result of rapid growth during the industrial revolution?

    The two major problems that cities face as a result of rapid growth during the industrial revolution were pollution (since the factories were emitting massive amounts of smog), and overcrowding (since people would come from all over the country in order take advantage of the many jobs available in factories).
