Compare and contrast the Democratic party's platform with the Republican platform on the issue of the economy.

With regard on the economy issue, Democratic Party has a platform on m inimizing wages and progressing taxation, i. e., higher tax rates for higher income brackets. Born out of anti-federalist ideals but evolved over time to favor more government regulation. For the Republican Party they strongly b elieve that taxes shouldn't be increased for anyone (including the wealthy) and that wages should be set by the free market.
