This is carried out by (usually), the distraught members of a martyr's family or close associates. Mr. X get's arrested, killed or executed, and someone that knows him (or knows OF him) is so upset that they go out to blow something up or to perform some flavor of terrorist act that is designed to both further the cause of the movement - OR to exact revenge.

Consider what is going on right now in Oakland. That guy got shot in the back by a cop (I'm not saying it was justified or not!), and now there is rioting. This would be a prime example of histrionic terrorism. People are hysterical ... and now committing crimes to exact revenge.
