What is the Coriolis Effect and describe it affect on winds in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere.

    The Coriolis effect is the apparent curving of the path of a moving object due to Earth's rotation. Because of this, global winds in the Northern Hemisphere blow clockwise, but counterclockwise in the Southern Hemisphere.
