Why did anti federalists believe that the constitution was a threat to liberty?

    Anti federalists were concerned that the constitution gave too much power to federal government and took it away from local and state governments, meaning that the average person would have less influence. The biggest threat to liberty was that the constitution did not contain a bill of rights, meaning their was no protection of rights such as freedom of speech and trial by jury.
