What were the important battles in the war of texas independence? why was each important?

    One would be the battle of the Alamo was important because there were about150-250 volunteers who held ground at the Alamo long enough for Sam Houston to regroup and come up with a plan of action to cut off and defeat Santa Anna's army at the battle of San Jacinto.
