How accurate was Horace's comment that greece has conquered her rude conqueror?

He was very accurate. The rude conqueror is the Romans who conquered Greece, but metaphorically Greece conquered them because their culture was based on Greek culture that completely overtook Roman culture so they might have conquered Greece, but they all behaved like Greeks so it was a philosophical victory.
