    It contributed to a union movement.

    With speak of freedom and democracy during World War I, the labor movement gained traction. Many workers believed part of freedom is the right to fair wages and good working conditions. They wanted the right to negotiate with their employers. However after the war, there will be an association made with labor and communism. The first Red Scare will target these union leaders and put unions on hold until the New Deal under Franklin Roosevelt.
