True and False: A democracy can have both representative and direct characteristics at same time. And why?

    This is true. A democracy can be representative (as is the case with most democracies around the world today) at the national level when we're talking about different legislations being passed. However, it is also direct in the sense that people can directly elect their own representatives at the bottom.
