    This temple was destroyed twice. Once by the Romans during the second siege of Jerusalem and again by Europeans during the Crusades. The ruins of the Temple are still in Jerusalem and they likely still contain The Ark of The Covenant (Jewish sacred item). The ruins are about 30 feet under the ground, are are in the basement of The Dome of The Rock.
