Possibly because why most people traveled across the sea? God, Gold, and Glory.
They wanted to gain riches and increase European knowledge of geography. The Europeans captured and kidnapped African Americans by African slave traders and used as slaves or in trade in exchange for iron, guns, gunpowder, mirrors, knives, cloth, and beads brought by boats from Europeans.

Because they were dominating the world, then they took the people and made them slaves because of there different apperance
