How are states government similar to and different from national government?

    Different: The national government has more power than the state.

    Ex.

    The legal drinking age in u. s. is 21. If a state decides to make a law that makes the legal drinking age for that state be 18, it wouldn't be followed because it goes against the national govt.

    Similar: They both are given their power by the people.
