As a result of the changed product liability law, the courts mandated manufacturers to manufacture products carefully, and in the event of substandard production that causes danger to life, manufacturers would be held liable. In addition, manufacturers could be held responsible or sued by any consumer who detected negligence in production/manufacture, regardless of whether there was any contractual agreement or not.
