Answer: The correct answer is : According to state law, penalties for littering depend on the nature and amount of garbage. Accidental: People who accidentally throw 15 pounds or less of trash will be fined a maximum of $ 100 for the first time and for subsequent offenses within the next 3 years may result in a fine of up to $ 200 plus community service from 8 to 24 hours. If garbage is thrown intentionally: less than 15 pounds, the fine is $ 250 to $ 1000 for the first time and for subsequent offenses within the next 3 years general fines of $ 500 to $ 2000 and a possible community service of 16 to 50 hours.
