Jury consultants are individuals who are responsible for researching the jurors' backgrounds, as well as assisting with jury selection and questioning the possible jurors. Sometimes they also form focus groups and mock trials. These individuals are usually hired by the law firms of both the plaintiff and defendant in a court case in order to best choose the jurors who will most likely side in favor of either side.
