Lisa says the product of 1/5 x 2/5 will be larger than 1/5 because you are multiplying. Is Lisa correct? Explain how you know.

    No, multiply 1/5 to something smaller than 1 decreases it. Therefore 1/5 * 2/5 < 1/5.

    NO. Lisa is incorrect. When you multiply fractions, they get smaller because it is less than 1, so the answer will be less than one of the answers times itself. Its one of those things that is hard to explain but easy to do. The important part is bold
