Denali is making curtains for her room. She needs 12 feet of fabric for one curtain and 16 feet for the other. The fabric store has 8 yards of the fabric she wants to use. Is that enough fabric? Explain your answer.

    12 feet + 16 feet = 28 feet needed

    The store does not have enough fabric.

    There are 3 feet in a yard.

    8 yards * 3 feet = 24 feet of fabric available
