    Log 3 (x²+6x) = log (2x+12). I assume that 3 is a factor of a log with base 10:

    if so, then:

    log (3x²+18x) = log (2x+12)

    ==> 3x²+18x=2x+12==> 3x²+16x-12 = 0

    solve this quadratic equation & you will find: x'=2/3 & x"=-6
